Destruction in Construction This discussion of various risks in construction of which risk management pros may not be aware (but should be). It will be eye-opening and relevant. Mr. Huang has over 21 years of research, design, and forensic experience in the structural engineering industry. Mr. Huang’s experience is comprised of structural design for new construction and renovation/repair projects, and postconstruction forensic engineering (failure/damage analysis) involving structural and building envelope systems. As a forensic engineering consultant, Mr. Huang has conducted evaluations to render professional opinions involving the cause and origin of building collapses, retaining wall failures, foundation failures, as well as building envelope failures. He has investigated hundreds of commercial and residential buildings and structures that reported water intrusions, fire damage, explosion and construction-vibration damages, as well as hurricane and tornado damages.
